Veselov Evgeny DmitrievichFounder and CEO of the Pozhneftehim Group of Companies
In 2003-2004, Evgeny Veselov decided to establish the Pozhneftehim Company. Over the 14 years of operation it has become one of the leaders in the fire protection sector of industrial facilities with foam fire extinguishing systems.
The development of the Pozhneftehim under the leadership of Mr. Veselov includes the start-up of production of firefighting equipment and foam concentrates in Central Russia, design engineering of new models and compositions according to the own R&D program, development of design documentation, Special Technical Conditions (STU), Fire Safety Measures and the consulting of specialists in various areas of industrial safety.
By the time of establishing the Group of Companies - LLC Pozhneftehim (St. Petersburg), LLC TPK Pozhneftehim (Moscow), LLC Pozhneftekhim-Detal (Donskoy) - Evgeny Veselov had more than 20 years of experience in the fire department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as experience in private organizations in 1999-2003. Evgeny Veselov holds a rank of Lieutenant Colonel of internal service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and has retired as a head of the fire department.
Evgeny Veselov is graduate of the Voronezh Forestry Institute with a degree in Automobiles and Automotive Economy. On graduating, he was assigned to Northern Power Supply Construction Trust (St. Petersburg). In 1977-1979, he served in the Armored Corps holding the rank of reserve lieutenant and duty position of a tank platoon leader.
Panov Sergey AlexandrovichDeputy Chief Officer of the Pozhneftehim Group of Companies
Sergey Panov has been engaged in integrated fire protection systems for industrial facilities since 2001. In 2007, he took over the Pozhneftehim Moscow office. A team of commercial and technical divisions works under his leadership with focus on constant improvement of business processes.
Mr. Panov oversees the normative work and R&D in the field of creating modern fire extinguishing means, providing consulting support in organizational, regulatory and technical issues, training, and advanced training courses for fire safety specialists in the Pozhneftehim Training Center. Sergey Panov pays particular attention to quality management and production management.
In 1997-1999, Mr. Panov worked as the Deputy Head of the firefighting service, personally supervised the extinguishing of fires in apartment buildings, manufacturing enterprises, and facilities related to the handling of highly flammable and combustible liquids. Previously, he was on duty in the fire guard garrison of the fire department of the city of Kamensk-Uralsky and in 1997 he was honored with the title the "best-in-profession" in the Sverdlovsk Region.
Sergey Panov graduated the Leningrad Higher Fire and Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 1994 and the department of leading personnel of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation with a degree in State and Municipal Administration in 2001. He has a Ph.D. in technical sciences. In 2009, he completed a continuing education course at KSB University under the program “Independent risk assessment in fire safety (expert)”.
Romanov Igor GennadievichDirector of Firefighting Equipment Production, the Pozhneftehim Group of Companies
Igor Romanov joined the Pozhneftehim team in 2009. He was Head of the Design engineering department, then headed the Pozhneftehim Detal. Since 2010, he has been supervising technological operations and R&D at a production site in the city of Donskoy.
Prior to joining Pozhneftehim, he was with the organization of the military-industrial complex as a designer of technological equipment (jet engines).
Igor graduated from the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering with a degree in Engineering Technology. Earlier, he also got a secondary special education at the Railway College as Mechanic. In 2018, he graduated the MBA course and got a diploma in the field of “Production and Operations Management”.
Has a sports lifestyle being a sub-master sportsman in boxing.
Poteryaev Yuriy KonstantinovichHead of Research and Development, PhD
Poteryaev Yuriy is engaged in problems of fire safety since entering the higher education institution (now St. Petersburg University of State Fire Service of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia) in 2002. In 2011, Yuriy received the PhD degree in Technical Sciences, specifically Fire and industrial safety (oil and gas industry).
Yuriy is an outstanding engineer and, since joining the Pozhneftekhim Group in 2012, has played one of the leading and critical roles in:
supporting the most complex projects;
initiating new equipment designs, managing their development, manufacturing and testing;
developing the most important internal regulations (e.g., Project Management Regulations);
participating in the development and discussion of national regulations.
From 2012 to 2016, Yuriy created and developed the design department. In 2016, under his leadership, the Advanced training courses for specialists in fire prevention and extinguishing were created.
In 2016, he personally led the project for the design, manufacture and testing of foam firefighting equipment ordered by the Russian division of the Italian company Maire Tecnimont. This project was the first experience of Pozhneftekhim Group in an international project. There are the following objects where the Pozhneftekhim Group of Companies developed and delivered foam firefighting equipment and where Yuriy had a leading role: offshore platforms in the Caspian Sea for Lukoil, Amur gas processing plant ordered by Maire Tecnimont, naphtha cracking plant for PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftehim" ordered by Linde AG (Germany).
Since 2021, he participates in the preparation of large-scale tests on the reduction of the intensity of heat flow during the combustion of liquefied natural gas and the development of the necessary equipment for this purpose.
Poteryaev Yuriy participates as a speaker at various conferences. He is a co-author of 6 patents and 7 articles in highly specialized magazines for professionals.
Titenkov Sergey VladimirovichHead of the Regulatory and Technical Department of the Pozhneftehim Group of Companies
Since 2003, Sergey Titenkov has been engaged in regulatory and technical work in the field of fire safety. He has excellent practical experience in bringing facilities in line with fire safety requirements. He developed design solutions and special technical conditions in the field of fire safety for facilities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Rosatom, Rosneft, Gazprom, etc.
The responsibility of Sergey Titenkov includes the design, regulatory and technical work, solving problems in the field of compliance to fire safety norms for objects of various scales and purposes, given their uniqueness, danger, and technical complexity. Oil refining and petrochemical enterprises are his profile specialization.
In 2006, he graduated with honors from the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, thereafter he was assigned to the post of the Head of the Forensic Sector Department of the Forensic Expert Institution with the Federal Firefighting Service “Fire Test Laboratory”.
In 2009, he graduated the Adjuncture (post-graduate school) of the Department for Training of Scientific and Pedagogical Personnel of the State Fire Service Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia with a degree in Fire and Industrial Safety, and has published scientific articles. Then was with a Special Fire Department of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, and was awarded departmental awards.
In his free time, he goes in for sport fishing.
Potapenko Tatyana ViktorovnaProject Manager for the foam concentrates production of the Pozhneftehim Group of Companies
Tatyana Potapenko has been with Pozhneftehim since 2013. Her responsibility includes the production of foam concentrates, development and implementation of new types of products, including those with special properties, according to customer technical specifications, improvement of processes associated with the development and production of foam concentrates. Tatyana Potapenko participates in educational and marketing projects of the Group of Companies.
In 2001-2012, Tatyana was with private companies engaged in acquisition of chemical testing laboratories, selection and supply of chemical materials to enterprises. Implemented a project to bring foreign chemical products to the Russian market.
In 1999, she graduated with honors the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of the Kaluga Pedagogical University. In 2000, she worked as the head of the laboratory of spectral research methods at the Russian Peoples' Friendship University (RUDN). In 2003, she completed postgraduate studies at the RUDN and obtained the Ph.D. degree in Chemical Sciences, specifically in inorganic chemistry.
